If you are interested in sim racing, chances are you already know Nico Barclay. He is one of the most active guys in the scene right now, and he can usually be found near the top of the grid. So it is no surprise that we signed him the second he offered to be our reserve driver for the GPVWC 2016 International Touring Cup. After a difficult start, he went on to finish eight out of the last nine races in the points.
You can imagine we were very keen to keep him in the team and were glad when he decided to start for us in 2017 World GT Series, partnering Thomas Hinss. The season was cut short when the league announced that they’d cancel the last two races. Nico finished third in the championship while STAX Racing came second overall.
