When the GPVWC announced on the GPVWC Day on December 10th, 2016 that STAX Racing were allocated a spot in the 2017 Formula Challenge Series, the team unveiled their testing livery just minutes later. Based on a bad pun, the “staX-Wing” and the launch video of the car were instant hits.

So far, the car was on track only once at the Preseason Test in Bahrain on February 21, 2017. The drivers Menno Klont and Chris Shepherd were wearing special suits and helmets, mimicking a X-Wing pilot (Klont) and R2-D2 (Shepherd).
