Qualifying at the high-speed track saw Chris Shepherd take Pole Position by .008 seconds over
Race 1: Adrian had a very good first lap and passed TR Motorsports’ Marcin Rybaczuk going into Variante Ascari. In the following laps, he was able to defend his position from Cliff van de Vin. On Lap 10, Chris Butcher made contact with Alari Algpeus, directly in front of Adrian who gained two positions. The following lap, TTF Racing’s van de Vin was able to pass the STAX Racing driver going into Variante della Roggia. Adrian crossed the finishing line in P4 shortly after.
As previously mentioned, Chris started the race from Pole Position. After the first lap, he was over one second clear from the driver in second position. Later on in the race, Matthew Williams passed Chris Butcher and started a pursuit to catch up to Shepherd. However, it was too little and too late and the STAX Racing won the race with a gap of almost three seconds to Williams.
Race 2: Adrian lined up on the grid for the second race in P8. After a frantic opening lap to the race, he was running in fifth place. On the third lap, he passed Cliff van de Vin in Curva del Serraglio. Unfortunately, he couldn’t slow down enough for the upcoming Variante Ascari, ran wide und lost control of his car upon rejoining the track. After crashing into the barrier, he retired from the race.
Chris started the second race from P10, however he passed four drivers in the first lap already. After overtaking Adrian the previous lap, he passed Cliff van de Vin on Lap 3. On the sixth lap, Chris passed both Williams and Scrivens on the Start / Finish straight, but was unable to defend his position against Williams going into Ascari. With two and a half laps to go, Chris then re-passed Williams before the Variante della Roggia and finished the race in P2.
